Downtown Run Around (HASH)
The 2008 Downtown Runaround will be held at 8am Saturday July, 26th! The Runaround will include a 5 Mile and a 2.1 Mile Run. Last year there were 850 entrants.Although this is a competitve run, it qualifies as a HASH as there is a trail, lively social interaction for many hours afterwards and your entry fee gets you all the beer and pizza you can consume before they run out (last year we drank until 2pm).
The entry fee is $15 per entry if postmarked or submitted on or before July 17 and $20 per entry if postmarked July 18 thru July 21. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER JULY 21!

Hash Trash: Return to Brainard
The weather was good, the beer was cold, and the Trail was anything but "standard". A number of locals showed up to round our pack out at 20+. Our Hare in the town of Brainard sent us on a wild beer chase complete with Clues that would challenge our combined brainpower (ever deteriorating by the beer and shots we consumed). Although the way was trecherous, we were greeted by 2 beer checks and a popcicle check.
The circle was lively and full of accusations. Lost in PI was a generous RA, dowing out beer to all those who disrespected his circle, whined on trail, or even those who just looked thirsty. NO DICK 4 U! did his best GM impression, and our Hare selected Bronz Bunz as the day's HASH HIT winner.
It was a fun hash for everyone- and the ColumBUSH3 were already asking on the ride home, "when can we Return to Brainard again?".

Cost: $7.00, virgins free This will be a slightly non-traditional hash that should be interesting and fun as well. There will be some shiggy, a short or long trail, some beverage stops, and some scenic views. There will be food and drink afterwards as well. A dry bag might be a good idea, and bug spray would also be a great idea. Recap: Full Moon Hash
We, came, we saw, we drank beer- AND IT WAS GOOD!
A nice showing of hashers and even some virgins (thanks to Super Tripper Stripper who will be recieving a custom made T-shirt!).
NO DICK 4 U! pre-laid a trail with 2 beer checks as promised, and nature delivered more than her share of skeeters and humidity (at least it didn't rain). We finished our trail on a sand bar in the Loup River, and even met some 4-wheelin dudes (who even with our plethera of hash-girls, we couldn't coax them to give us a ride).
Our visitor "Quick Drawers" from Virginia (Mount Vernon Hash near DC) bestowed 1 month young "Just Julia" with the name "Little Missionary". He and his wife were fantastic visitors and I hope our hashpitality was represent of our small town in their quest to Hash across the Midwest.

RE-Cap: Passover the 4/20 Hash (on the left hand side if you please)
Well we hit the hash hard with a smaller pack, which left more beer for the rest of us. The hares gave the pack only 5 minutes at the start and "finish their beer" at each of the beer checks, but they manage to elude the pack. The trail ended at the HASH HOUSE, with BBQ and beer for all.
Some accusations (2% truth) came out in the circle that would scare the visiting grandparents:
- Dick Pilot was seen throwing rocks at a dead raccoon (in his defense, he didn't know it was dead until he hit it a few times)
- Cock-a-Puke-a-Doo found herself recognized during this act, and
- Super Tripper Stripper aparently lived up to her name having almost tripped, and then stripped (and gave herself stuffed t-shirt implants)
- The hasher formerly known as "Just Erik", found his daughter drinking and driving erratically while honking the horn in the back yard. (good thing she's only 1 and will get off without a fine)
- Goez Down EZ Autohashed with the baby

Kilted Hash Recap
Cock-a-puke-a-doo and Dick Pilot laid an excellent trail (with some assistance from her mom) that wound through the north side of trail and finished at Little Bo’s. On April 6th, 1320 the Declaration of Arbroath was prepared as a formal Declaration of Independence for Scotland from England.
Don't be "Gaelic"! If you don't have a kilt, just bust out some plad (Tartan if you please), paint your face blue, and thank God for such great Scottish contributions to the world:
